Happy Chinese New Year (dragon year)! š² We feel extremely lucky and grateful to celebrate CNY with a special Malaysian Chinese community in the jungle! Having been here for just a week, we already feel so much like home. Itās truly astonishing to see how they work together as one family and are all so motivated to contribute however they can. The community runs a treehouse retreat that consists of a homestay, cafe and school. Before CNY holidays we had the chance to join the kidsā graduation ceremony and were deeply touched by their cute performances. We spent some āquality timeā with the kids and were absolutely amazed by their playful characters, respectful manners, diverse skills and genuine curiosity..etc. As well as learning so much from them we have also taught them about our countries and cultures we come from, painted and played with them and went to the waterfall togetherā¦ All these cherished experiences and memories are exactly the reasons why we are here in this purposeful journey. Two more weeks ahead in this magical place and we canāt wait to find out more about it and about ourselves too. š
